About Us
How We Got Started
Kim’s Cat Crusade was born out of one woman’s unending care for cats in need. For over 20 years, Kim Kryza has dedicated herself to helping feral, stray, and abandoned cats in Pinellas County.
What started with Kim spending countless hours and her own resources to care for the community cats has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by passionate volunteers. This status allows us to expand our reach and resources, making a bigger impact in the community.
Our Daily Commitment
Today, Kim’s Cat Crusade continues to operate entirely on volunteer power. Every day, more than a dozen volunteers travel across South Pinellas County, feeding and caring for over 40 feral cat colonies. These cats rely on our team for food, care, and, whenever possible, medical treatment and socialization efforts. Through the help of our volunteers, we’ve created a network of dedicated individuals working together to help as many cats as possible.
But there’s still much work to be done. As we continue to expand our operations, we are actively reaching out to local vendors, pet food banks, and supporters to help secure much-needed donations of food and supplies. We depend on the generosity of people like you to keep us going strong, so we can continue to meet the needs of these incredible animals.
Kim’s Cat Crusade is about more than feeding cats; it’s about building a community of care. We are passionate about welcoming new volunteers who share our same love for community cats. You can learn more about feeding, fundraising, or spreading the word by visiting our Volunteer Page.
